Ever notice that Belted Kingfisher always seem to be in a bad mood?
As spring races onward, the hills are being lit up with splashes of yellow. The yellow of Heart-leaved Arnica and Arrowleaf Balsamroot, and the bold patterns of bumblebees.
If you have ever watched the skies when swifts are airborne, you can understand the incredible difficulty in photographing them. They are very fast, small, and not all that predictable. So when you get a half decent image, you are ecstatic.
